About Flag Grids

Flag Grids is an independent website that makes original, free flag games and geography quizzes. We believe learning about the world should feel like play, so every game is short, fair and works on any device without an account.

Our games

We publish six daily games: Guess the Flag, Flag Fragment, Flag Puzzle, Flag Connections, Country Shape and Higher or Lower: Population. We also offer the Flag Grid Maker, a free tool for building shareable flag collages. All games are designed and built by our small team.

Data sources

• Flag images: flag-icons (MIT licence).
• Country names, regions, areas and coordinates: mledoze/countries (ODbL).
• Population: World Bank, indicator SP.POP.TOTL, 2023 (CC BY 4.0).
• Country outlines: Natural Earth (public domain).

Accuracy

Borders, names and recognition of states can be disputed. We follow widely used international datasets and do not take political positions. If you spot an error, please contact us.
